Know the difference
Three actions work together:
COPY
Like a copy machine. The original stays, and you get a second copy.
Ctrl + C
CUT
Like scissors. The original is removed and moved to a new place.
Ctrl + X
PASTE
Like a glue stick. It puts the copied or cut text in a new spot.
Ctrl + V
