Before you can change text, you need to select it first.
Before selecting
The cat sat on the mat.
Normal text — nothing happens if you try to change it.
After selecting
The cat sat on the mat.
Selected text is highlighted. Now you can change it!

Once text is selected, you can:
- Make it bold or italic
- Change the font or colour
- Delete it or replace it
- Copy and paste it
